Taste and See.

I will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. My soul will boast in the LORD; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name together. I sought the LORD, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame. This poor man called, and the LORD heard him; He saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them. Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.

Wonderful how Titus Brandsma kept optimism and hope for his fellow-prisoners in a Nazi concentration camp by applying the words you mentioned into practice, despite the most inhuman and miserable circumstances that would lead him and them to an awful death. Let's also remind Mrs. Boshard, the officer of the Salvation Army who worked in humility and service in the red light district of Amsterdam all her life with a smile and always a good word, (many considered her their "second mother"), and passed away last week also with a smile, at the age of 93, regretted by the whole Dutch people including queen and prime minister; she let herself inspire also by these words. Thank you for reminding by showing this.

Very nice piece of scripture and the photo as well =D It reminds me of a pastor at my church who used pizza (he's of italian descent) to illustrate the taste and see portion. Great stuff Olaide!
